About

Where the stage meets infrastructure.

Creative Reach is a cultural production and creative infrastructure company in Lafayette, Louisiana. We make the work, and we build what the work runs on.

Why we exist

Too many good projects are diminished not by a lack of talent or vision, but by a lack of resources.

A production runs out of runway before opening night. A stage manager holds an entire show together in a notebook and a group text. A young artist earns a national stage, then has to figure out how to afford the trip. Creative Reach exists to close that gap, so the deciding factor is the work itself, not what a company can afford.

How we close it

We work three ways at once. We produce theatre that gathers a community, most visibly The Juneteenth Story. We build the software companies actually run on, Calltime. And we open doors for young artists reaching for bigger rooms. The throughline never changes: fair pay for artists, real tools for the people doing the work, and a standard that welcomes people in instead of keeping them out.

Who it's for

This work centers Black-led production and the artists, companies, and communities that rarely get first-rate creative infrastructure. We are rooted in Acadiana and we do not stop at its edges.

The founder

Creative Reach is led by Josiah Price. Before coming home to Lafayette to build it, he spent three years in New York running service at Jean-Georges Vongerichten's abcV, where hospitality taught him what the theatre already had: read the room, anticipate the need, hold the standard. He directs and acts, teaches in Lafayette Parish schools, serves as Resident Director of Black Theatre Experience, and chairs NAACP ACT-SO Lafayette. He builds on one belief: the most powerful stories are the ones told by the people they belong to. See his work at josiahprice.com.
