A gold medal earned. A national stage waiting.
ACT-SO is the NAACP’s Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics: a national program where high school students compete in the arts, sciences, humanities, and business, coached and championed by their communities. Think of it as an Olympics of the mind.
This year, Brayden Landry competed, delivered, and earned a gold medal! That medal comes with an invitation: represent our community at the ACT-SO national competition in Chicago, July 15–19, alongside top students from across the country.
The trip is almost fully funded.
Three sponsors, Josiah Price, Paula Grand, and Wilson Prejean, stepped up first. Their contributions have already covered registration and flights. The student is registered. The seat on the plane is booked.
What remains is approximately $2,000 for hotel, meals, ground transportation, and incidentals, and those funds need to be in hand by July 14 so travel support is ready before the trip begins.
This is the last leg. The community can carry it home!
